Working towards a better life for everyone affected by womb cancer

ABOUT

Peaches Womb Cancer Trust

Womb cancer is the most common gynaecological cancer in the UK, affecting around 9,700 people each year. Despite this, awareness remains low, and too many people are diagnosed at later stages when treatment is less effective. At Peaches Womb Cancer Trust, our mission is simple but vital: to preserve health, improve the experiences of those affected by womb cancer, and save lives. Founded in September 2020 by a team of dedicated medical professionals with a special focus on womb cancer and research, Peaches works tirelessly to raise awareness, support patients, and fund research into prevention and early diagnosis.

Womb cancer, also known as endometrial or uterine cancer, most often affects those over 50 who have gone through menopause, but it can also impact younger women and people with a womb. When caught early at stage 1, survival rates can be as high as 92%. Sadly, when diagnosed at stage 4, survival rates drop to 15%. Current data shows that 1 in 5 people are diagnosed at advanced stages 3 or 4, highlighting the urgent need for better awareness and early detection.Every day in the UK, the equivalent of 27 people receive a womb cancer diagnosis, and 7 lives are lost. At Peaches, we are determined to change this.
