Meet the Lyons Bowe Pride

Paul is the Managing Director and Head of Conveyancing at Lyons Bowe, based in the Shepton Mallet office. Since founding the firm in 2014, Paul has led the business with a clear focus on client care, innovation, and professional excellence. With over 14 years of experience, he plays a key role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Paul is passionate about building long-lasting relationships with his clients and is known for delivering a first-class legal service.

He holds a degree in Politics and Philosophy from Swansea University, completed his legal studies at BPP Law School in Leeds, and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. Paul specialises in property litigation, commercial disputes, and corporate legal support, offering clear, expert advice in even the most complex matters.

Edward is the Director of Commercial & Property Services at Lyons Bowe and is based in our Bristol office. He also holds the role of Director responsible for Risk and Best Practice, offering guidance across the firm on regulatory compliance, legal service standards, and risk management. A qualified solicitor since 2006, Edward brings a thoughtful, commercially-aware approach to both legal matters and firm operations. His practice covers a wide range of areas, including litigation, contentious property issues, planning and development, and possession orders. He also offers independent legal advice as a stand-alone service.

Edward studied Politics and Philosophy at Liverpool University before completing his legal qualifications at the College of Law in Chester. Known for his strategic thinking and practical advice, Edward plays a key role in supporting both clients and colleagues alike.

Darrell is the Director of Private Client Services at Lyons Bowe and is based in our Shepton Mallet office. A highly experienced solicitor with over 23 years in practice, she joined the firm in 2020 after serving as a partner at a well-established local firm.

Darrell specialises in all areas of Private Client work, with particular expertise in older client law, including trusts, estates, Powers of Attorney, and tax matters. She is a Full Member of STEP and an accredited member of SFE, reflecting her dedication to high standards in estate and elder law. Darrell is known for her thoughtful, client-first approach, guiding families through complex decisions with clarity and compassion. Outside of work, she enjoys long walks with her dogs, exploring historical architecture, and travelling.

Laura is the Head of Residential Property Services at Lyons Bowe and is based in our Shepton Mallet office. She joined the firm in 2018 and brings over seven years of dedicated experience in the residential property sector. Before joining Lyons Bowe, Laura worked within the property department of a well-established firm in North Dorset, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of conveyancing matters. Living in South Somerset, Laura has a deep understanding of the local property market and community.

A fully registered Licensed Conveyancer, she specialises in all areas of residential conveyancing, including sales, purchases, remortgages, new builds, leaseholds, and more complex matters such as equity release and adverse possession. Laura is known for her approachable nature, attention to detail, and commitment to making the property process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Justine is the Head of Operations at Lyons Bowe, having joined the firm in 2018 from a large multi-office legal practice in Bristol. With over 26 years of experience in the professional services industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge spanning legal accounts, compliance, IT systems, and firm-wide operations. Justine plays a vital role in keeping the firm running smoothly, working closely with the partners to support strategic delivery and day-to-day efficiency.

She has in-depth expertise in SRA regulations, SARs, LEXCEL standards, as well as the procedures surrounding AML, Data Protection, and GDPR. AAT-qualified and known for her calm, solutions-focused approach, Justine is a key part of Lyons Bowe’s leadership team. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

With over 25 years of experience in the property industry, Will is Head of Business Development and Growth at Lyons Bowe. Before joining the firm, he spent many years as an Area Director overseeing 25 estate agency branches, and more recently ran a successful independent estate agency in Somerset with his wife. Having referred work to Lyons Bowe for over six years, Will developed a close working relationship with the firm and experienced first-hand the benefits of its market-leading conveyancing processes and proactive approach to client care.

Will brings a deep understanding of estate agency and a fresh perspective to growing and strengthening referral partnerships. Passionate about improving how conveyancing is delivered across England and Wales, he is committed to helping partners feel confident in the service their clients receive.

Hannah is the Head of the Family Law department at Lyons Bowe and is based in our Bridgwater office. She joined the firm in 2020 and brings over a decade of experience in family law, having qualified as a solicitor in 2010 after completing her training in Bath. Hannah has particular expertise in financial matters arising from both marriage and cohabitation, as well as in helping families make clear and positive arrangements for their children following separation. She is known for her approachable and empathetic nature, always offering clear, practical advice tailored to each client’s situation.

Hannah holds a law degree from the University of Reading and completed the Legal Practice Course in Bristol. She is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in complex financial remedies and private law children matters, a trained Collaborative Lawyer, and an active member of the Somerset Resolution Committee. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her two young children.

Thalia leads the Marketing team at Lyons Bowe, having joined the firm in 2023. She brings a wealth of experience across the digital marketing landscape and has delivered impactful work across brand, campaigns, partnerships, and strategy.

With a background in both education and marketing, Thalia has led a wide range of successful projects, from partnerships and sponsorships to large-scale social campaigns and digital advertising. She is passionate about building brands that connect meaningfully with the people they serve.

Thalia holds a BA in Education and Psychology, along with qualifications in Digital Media and Marketing, and Social Media Strategy. She is known for her attention to detail, creative thinking, and ability to bring fresh ideas to life.

Jenny is the Head of Human Resources at Lyons Bowe, where she leads the firm’s recruitment strategy and employee development initiatives. With a CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management and a strong background in employee relations, Jenny is passionate about creating a positive, supportive workplace culture. Her approachable nature and solution-focused mindset make her a trusted partner across the business. Jenny is known for her ability to bring meaningful change in dynamic environments, a quality praised by previous colleagues and leadership alike.

Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband Lee and their daughter Amy. The family shares a love for football (with a friendly rivalry between Liverpool and Chelsea!) and enjoys holidays together and spending time with close friends and family.

Laura is the Head of Accounts at Lyons Bowe, having joined the firm in 2023. With nearly 20 years of experience in Legal Accounts, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. Known for her ambitious and motivated approach, Laura plays a key part in ensuring the financial operations of the firm run smoothly and efficiently. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail make her a valued member of the leadership team. Outside of work, Laura enjoys keeping fit, spending quality time with her friends and family, and making regular trips to Cornwall, one of her favourite places to unwind.
