Migrant Help

Rebuilding lives stolen by displacement and exploitation… because every person deserves the opportunity to thrive.

ABOUT

Migrant Help

Migrant Help, a UK-based charity established in 1963, supports people affected by displacement and exploitation.

With teams based across the country, the charity delivers advice, guidance, and aid to people seeking asylum, refugees, and survivors of modern-day slavery and human trafficking. Their asylum services encompass in-person assistance at initial accommodation centres and through outreach initiatives, as well as a nationwide asylum advice helpline. Given that most people seeking asylum have escaped conflict or persecution, often arriving with limited knowledge of life in the UK, Migrant Help endeavours to equip them with the necessary support to navigate the asylum process, access essential services, and address the hurdles of integration.

Migrant Help collaborates with local authorities in South East England on refugee resettlement initiatives, aiding in the integration of newly arrived families into the UK and facilitating their adjustment to local communities over an extended duration. The organization assists in facilitating access to essential services such as healthcare and education, provides English language instruction, offers specialized counselling, aids in financial management, and prepares individuals for employment opportunities. Moreover, Migrant Help extends its support to survivors of modern-day slavery and human trafficking across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
